William Shakespeare is England's most famous playwright and poet. He was also referred to as the 'Bard of Avon'. This is a suite of Elizabethan music that was very likely used in the original performances of Shakespeare's plays. The movements are: Anonymous - Watkin's Ale (Henry V), John Dowland - Frog Galliard ('Sigh no more ladies' from Much Ado About Nothing), Thomas Morley - It was a lover and his lass (As You Like It), William Byrd - Callino Casturame (Henry V). Arranged for trombone quartet by Helen Vollam.
